The Australian Government currently offers two visa pathways for foreign investors willing to provide substantial support for the economic development of Australia and its emerging businesses through investment in registered Australian venture capital funds:

Business Innovation and Investment Subclass 188 B / 888 B Investor Visa (IV)
Business Innovation and Investment Subclass 188 C / 888 C Significant Investor Visa (SIV)

Applicants for these visas are nominated by Australian state and territory governments (based in part on the benefits the investment will provide to the local economy and community) and by the Australian federal government (based in part on compliance of the investments made with applicable legislation and regulations).
